Pranda Jewelry Public Company Limited, leading by Mr. Chanat Sorakraikitikul, Chairman of Finance & Risk Management Committee along with Mr. Dusit Chongsutthanamanee, Finance & Risk Management Committee, presented information and data at ‘Opportunity Day’ event. The purpose of the presentation were, to present the financial results for the first quarter of 2020, to predict the overall performance of Pranda Group, to analyze the impact on business operations and to recover the business from Covid-19. Resulting in incomes in 2020 to minus 20-25% compared to the previous year. The company has predicted the economic impact on its business for 2 periods including: crisis period and recovery period. Due to the crisis, the Production base has reduced purchase orders and production orders. Customers postponed the delivery schedule. Distribution base: Pranda Group’s operation in the United States and the United Kingdom got most of the revenue during the Covid-19 crisis from online channels. In India, they were affected by the full lockdown measures. Retail base: Vietnam has been affected by the social distancing measure since January. In Thailand, many branches in department stores have been closed due to lockdown measures from March 22. During this crisis, the company adjusted its strategy by keeping as much cash as possible, controlling costs and using flexible work plans such as alternate work day or work from home policy and focusing on increasing sales on online channels as well.
