On Monday, August 31, 2020. Mrs. Sunanta Tiasuwan, Director of Pranda Group and Vice President of Global Compact Network Thailand along with Professor Dr. Channarong Pornrungroj, Executive Director attended “GCNT Forum 2020: Thailand Business Leadership for SDGs” on the occasion of the 20th Anniversary of the UN Global Compact and the 75th anniversary of the United Nations under the theme “Recover World, Recover Thailand Better”. This event was held by Global Compact Network Thailand together with United Nations Thailand, Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau and The Association Sponsors. With senior executives from membership organizations joined forces to drive sustainable growth and economic recovery of Thailand towards a more sustainable path.
General Prayut Chan-o-cha, Prime Minister together with United Nations Thailand witnessed the announcement about the intention of members to invest in sustainable development worth 1.2 trillion baht, pushing 998 projects by 2030.
General Prayut gave a special lecture on the topic “Way of thinking of leaders in critical situations experience from the COVID-19 situation”. He said that the philosophy of the sufficiency economy of Thailand is a guideline for the country’s development. This is consistent with the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) with a focus on human development and human security. This event was held at United Nations Convention Center (UNCC) Bangkok.
