“PDJ” meeting with investors for the third quarter of 2021.
On December 3, 2021, Pranda Jewelry Public Company Limited, presented by Mr. Chanat Sorakraikitikul – Chairman of Finance & Risk Management Committee and Mr. Dusit Chongsutthanamanee, Finance & Risk Management Committee, presented information at the ‘Opportunity Day’ event to present the financial results for the third quarter of 2021, estimate the overall performance of Pranda Group in 2021 as well as set the overall sales target for 2022 to grow 30% reaching 3,500 million baht. Due to the economic recovery, the company’s three main bases including; production, distribution, and retail have increased significantly. The global impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in this year dropped sales missing the target which reached only 2,800 million baht from the original target of 3.2 billion baht. Next year’s sales will come from the production base business where the company aims to grow 20% to 2,400 million baht compared to the year 2021, sales from the production base were at 2,000 million baht due to increasing orders for jewelry and exports. In the second half of 2021, after the economy of the European Union and the United States recovered, the company has set a strategy to focus mainly on an affordable fine jewelry customer base.
For Retail Base, income will be increased by next year. In 2021, the company was affected by the closure of department stores and countries (Thailand – Vietnam) to prevent the spread of COVID-19 during the past third quarter. As a result, this year sales were at 707 million baht which was 30% lower than the target of 1,100 million baht in 2021. In 2022, the company’s retail business plans will focus on building a more customer base that has a high purchasing power and cooperating with the partner groups such as Central department stores as well as creating a distribution platform through online channels under the One Prima strategy to generate revenue growth.
For Distribution Base, the company has a business plan to produce local products in India which will reduce the cost of importing after setting up a manufacturing plant in India. In 2022, the sales target is at 130 million baht.
